Easy Dairy-Free Chocolate Ice Cream
I ate the whole batch of this ice cream in two days. After this shot was taken, I enjoyed it for breakfast. No shame here, this dairy-free, soy-free recipe uses clean, natural ingredients and it is sweetened simply with only Medjool dates (thanks to them I had incredible energy for a 1 hour workout followed by a 2-mile run).
Bonus: you don’t need an ice cream maker to enjoy it. Read more…
Penny’s Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream
Hello Friends~
So you’ve been asking yourself the past few weeks, “what do I do with the leftover pumpkin and vegan marshmallows I have laying around from Thanksgiving?” Well, today is a fun day because the special ingredient is Pumpkin (or sweet potato again) and this recipe uses leftovers from those past recipes. Thanksgiving is about leftovers, right? I know it’s cold out, but EVERYONE loves ice cream cuddled on the couch watching Glee. Ok, well, I like the Glee part, but you can chose your favorite show—and cuddle up—on the couch with a batch of this delicious vegan and gluten-free Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream! Read more…

Pilsen Paletas: Dairy-free Cinnamon Brown Rice Popsicles
All summer long in my neighborhood—Viva Pilsen!—you can hear the bells ringing from either the bicycle-powered or pedi “paleta” carts. For one dollar, you can choose from a variety of frozen popsicle flavors like strawberry, coconut, mango, lime—even tamarind. My all-time favorite flavor is arroz con leche—basically rice pudding or horchata on a stick. It had been a long time since I had a taste of that cinnamon creaminess (with the chewy bits of rice), until today. Here’s my dairy-free, soy-free version that tastes even better than my memories. And the best part is, I didn’t even need popsicle molds. Read more…
Raw ShamWOW Shake
My yoga-lovin’ pal, Maya Henderson and I, tag-teamed this recipe creation for an official Kyles Files Challenge—to make a healthy Shamrock Shake substitute. This skeptic-crushing, tasty and nutritious version of the seasonal McD’s concoction “WOWed” Miss Kyles (one of Shamrock’s biggest fans). High-fives all around. The Raw ShamWOW Shake uses my recipe for Raw Fresh Mint Ice Cream and it is an irresistible, guilt-free, chemical-free mix of that creamy, minty flavor we all know and love. Dig in. Guilt-free. Raw Fresh Mint Ice Cream
This raw, coconut-based, dairy-free ice cream is beyond creamy. I actually had a friend tell me that it is “texturally superior to dairy.” Love that. Fresh organic mint, spirulina and chlorophyll not only give it a handsome green color, but loads of extra nutrition, without compromising taste. Mix this ice cream with Coconut Water Ice Cubes and fresh Raw Almond Milk, Raw Hemp Milk or Raw Coconut Milk for a healthy ShamWOW Shake—a terrific alternative to the seasonal Shamrock Shake that so many people look forward to. Bonus: you don’t need an ice cream maker to enjoy this super-creamy ice cream recipe. Read more…
Raw Dairy-Free Cinnamon Bun Ice Cream

This raw, non-dairy ice cream recipe tastes just like a cinnamon bun with vanilla icing. It is so yummy, that didn’t last two days in my freezer and I’m not ashamed about that. Why? Because it is super hydrating and full of live, beneficial (yes, good for you) fats and natural sugars. While I recommend an ice cream maker for proper aeration, you don’t need an ice cream maker to enjoy this super creamy recipe. Read more…
