A nutrient-packed take on a classic American sandwich that you can prepare 100% raw or high raw. Eat it for lunch, a snack or dessert. Change up the ingredients to make it your own. Take the time to prepare all of the ingredients yourself (Raw Sprouted White Bread, Raw Blueberry Jam, Roasted Jungle Peanut Butter) or seek them out at the health food store. It’s nice to make the foods you loved as a kid, just as tasty, but full of the nutrients your body craves.

Raw Sprouted White Bread (An alternative that you can find in most health food stores is Manna Bread—not gluten-free or raw, but sprouted and delicious.)
Raw Blueberry Jam (Any naturally sweetened fruit jam will do. Raw, wild-harvested honey would be nice as well, but not vegan.)
Any nut butter, I like to use raw almond butter or homemade Roasted Jungle Peanut Butter (not raw)
1/2-1 whole organic banana
Pinch of sea salt (optional)
Let’s get started.
Lay out some raw white bread. Remember, raw, sprouted foods are full of active enzymes, and live energy, which will fill you up significantly more than cooked/baked foods. Start with a small sandwich, and if you are still hungry (I’m guessing you won’t be), you can make another. I usually use two slices of raw bread that are about 3″ x 5″.
Spread some nut butter on one slice of bread. I like to sprinkle some fine ground Celtic or pink Himalayan sea salt on the nut butter, not only to enhance flavor, but for added trace minerals. That “salty and sweet” thing is kinda my kryptonite.
Top the butter with banana slices.
Put some tasty jam on the other slice of bread.
Put the two slices together and, go ahead, take a bite. I sure did as fast as I could.
Serve these at a party, make ’em for the kids or prepare one in the morning to take to work for lunch. Poor jealous co-workers…
